Poetry: I Needed You.

On the paths we once walked together it was me all alone,

In the scorching sun and blazing heat,

You left me alone when I needed you,

I never imagined it would be like this,

I thought it was set in stone,

But one never knows where the wind might blow,

One never knows where they’ll end up,

I believed,

I trusted,

I had faith that you would see right through me,

Yet you didn’t,

You left me stranded,

Maybe because I wasn’t your priority,

Maybe I wasn’t as important as I thought I was,

You said you can’t hide from me,

You said you are an open book,

You said you’ll always be there,

But where are you now?

I know I know,

You had your own commitments.

You had your own battles.

But the sad truth is that,

In that moment,

At that certain moment,

I just needed you.
